A Brief History of Harris Mist

In 2023, Harris Mist was launched and became the sixth tartan to be entered into the Mist tartan range, which is exclusive to MacGregor and MacDuff. Harris Mist is a contemporary tartan and has no connection to any specific clan history.

The tartan's design takes inspiration from the beauty of the Isle of Harris. Its sandy beaches, clear blue waters and rocky mountains all contributed to each element of the tartan. Harris Mist has a mix of both warm and cool shades of greys, blues and greens with the addition of burnt orange yarn which is intended to reflect the natural warmth of a Harris welcome.
